Exmoor National Park in England

Exmoor National Park is amongst the first national parks founded in the south west region of England that start in the region of Somerset and stretches across to the north of Devon, with its stunning views of the moorland, woodland, idyllic villages and rocky cliffs across the coastal line.  It makes it a great hiking spot with its estimated 600 square miles of public walking path. 

Some of the most well known hiking spots are the Somerset and North Devon coastal paths as well as the two moors way which starts off in Lynmouth and follows the river barle onto Dartmoor.

The hills are cut by the amazing views of fast flowing streams, valleys hidden to the human eye and  a unforgettable memories of the view of this fantastic landscape in the south west of England.

The park has an amazing array of wildlife and animals, it is estimated to be the home of 40 different land mammals which include the Exmoor pony and red deer.  Around 275 different species of birds which makes it a gold pot for any keen bird watcher.

There is also the opportunity to give rock climbing ago with its estimated 260 square miles of coastal cliffs and because its close to the coastal line there is also plenty of opportunity for anyone keen on surfing, sailing or kayaking.

However if you see yourself as more of a couch potato then you can take one of the Moorland Safaris which is offered by several different companies or go and visit one of the many stables across the park to do a horse riding trek ranging from a few hours to a full day.
