The solomon islands are popular with scuba divers and snorkelers as well as history buffs and naturalists. A popular dive site on Guadalcanal is Bonegi Beach with its many battleship wrecks. Other tourist attractions include Honiara’s National Museum and Culture Center filled with traditional artifacts and the Vilu War Museum loaded with war memorabilia.

Hiking to see the gushing waters of the Mataniko Falls and to observe the more than two hundred species of birds including the ‘coucal’ the worlds largest cuckoo are some of the other popular tourist activities on the destination of the Solomon Islands.
