With plenty of historical monuments, myths and legends it will make it an unforgettable experience while unravelling the history of the Incas, which is why its one of the top destinations on any visitors travel itinernrie when coming to Peru.
Cuzco is known today as the archeolgical capital of Peru which is surrounded by the amazing remains of the citadel of Machu Picchu, Fortress of Sacsayhuaman and beautiful towns such as Yucay and Pisaq which still preserve a lot of the traditions from when their great ancestors were here.
Another great place to explore is the Plaza de Armas which was not only located in the exact centre of the empire in Inca times but was also double its size to what you have now and was surfaced with white sand that was mixed with shell, bits of gold, coral and silver.
