With great weather nearly all year round and the average temperature being around 80 degrees it is no wonder it attracts around 3 million visitors each year.
With its Mediterranean feel, red topped white buildings, cobblestone streets that go into the mountains and the siesta which brings most of the city to a grinding halt between the hours of 1-4pm its no wonder this is one of the few tourist destinations that still has the Mexico authentication feeling about it.

For the more adventurous type you can go and visit the jungle here which is not only pretty safe but was also used for the setting of the predator film. You can go on a canopy tour and experience sailing through tree to tree via the platforms or go for a hiking trip on one of the many trails which lye below and have some spectacular views of waterfalls, jungle life and indigenous plants.
