Trekking and Hiking in Laos

Laos is steeped with culture and religious significance throughout the country, so if you want to experience some of the real country it wonâ't be hard to come across, but one of the best ways to learn about this amazing country is by taking a trekking tour.
Within the past couple of years trekking as become quite a popular reason for the solo traveller to visit Laos and a great reason to add it to their travelling itinerary.
With Laos being known as the land of a million smiles, it certainly lives up to its name. As on most trips within Laos you will get to experience stunning mountainous landscape, narrow roads which are surrounded by jungle vines, laidback atmosphere within the local village tribes and rice paddies. Within the remote mountains are a mix of tribes what you will learn about.
The villagers will often welcome you into their homes and talk about their fascinating stories and the way life, it sometimes seems as if time as come to a stand still.
The best time to go trekking is between November and April, because you get great temperatures within the day, then cool evenings and it’s still pretty lush.
However, If you do plan on going between the month's of May and October your wet gear is a definite requirement, but there is some amazing cloud views and lush green forest.
So if your one of them adventurer's that like the less tourist routes and want to experience some of the real culture of the country then this just might be the kind of trip for you.
