Cycling Around Laos

If you like the thought of exploring unknown places and experiencing the real way of life in Laos, then a great way of doing it, is on one of the many cycling routes that local outfit companies as to offer. With a population of only around 6 million, Laos as considerably light traffic outside the major towns, so cycling around as slowly began to gain popularity over the years.

Throughout your tour of Laos you will get see how the locals live, discover places that are not seen on any regular tour and experience the laid back atmosphere from the local villagers. You will also see plenty of stunning mountains, rice paddies and cycle through some of the most remote areas that the country as to offer.

If you plan on going on a short break then there are plenty of companies where you can rent a cycle from, but if you are thinking of planning a longer trip then it's a good idea to take your own bike.

The best time to go cycling is between November and April, because you get great temperatures within the day, and then cool evenings and it's still pretty lush.

However, if you do plan on going between the months of May and October your wet gear is a definite requirement, but there is some amazing cloud views and lush green forest.

So if your one of them travellers that like's to take the road less travelled with a bit of peddle power and wants to experience some of the real culture of the country then this just might be the kind of trip for you.
