Published by jacko77 on Tue Sep 16th, 2008
The Sigatoka Sandunes National Park is a great example of Fiji’s stunning landscape, which is why it is such a magnet for both the nature enthusiast and tourist alike.
The park is located within the Coral Coast of Fiji which makes it a popular visiting spot and was one of the first national parks that was managed by the National Trust of Fiji. The Sigatoka Sandunes National Park in the Coral Coast consists of around 650 hectares of space.
Because of it’s location the park consists of two different characters. From Nadi to Korotogo you will get the sun, sea and sand with fantastic coastlines and then from Korotogo to Pacific Harbour you will get fantastic rainforests, hills and rugged land.
The wind swept sand dunes themselves can sometimes be seen as far as two miles and if you take notice will realise that there is a lot of ancient pottery to be revealed at the Sigatoka Sandune National Park.
With it being on the main island it makes it easily accessible by car. It is only within an hours drive from the Nadi International Airport.
