Experience The Puerto Limon Carnival

Puerto Limon is a vibrant city that is located off the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The city as become well known for its week long carnival it holds once a year in mid October for the locals to celebrate its cultural history.
Some visitors say that it’s the best carnival that is held off the Caribbean coast and is often nicknamed as the ‘Mardi Gras’ of the Caribbean and not to be missed if you are visiting Costa Rica this time of year.
This is truly a family affair with the wild atmosphere and excitement it as to offer any backpacker, holidaymaker or local. There is something for everyone who comes along. The festivities of this week long carnival often attracts musicians, dancers or performers, to name just a few. However if you are planning on experiencing the carnival, you will have to book your accommodation well in advanced.
