Large and Diverse Land Mass, Multicultural Society
Canada is the second largest country in the world after Russia which is spread across a very varied landscape. The diverse terrain of Canada is made up of lakes, forests, rugged mountains and rolling plains. The Great Plains of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta form the Granary of the world as they are the site of abundant wheat production, much of which is exported to other countries. The Rocky Mountains, located in the south west of Canada are a popular winter sports haunt with the outdoorsy populace as are the magnificent Niagara Falls located in the eastern part of the country which are a must do on every tourists itinerary.

In the northern part of the country is the Canadian Shield a rocky formation formed billions of years ago and covered with coniferous trees. It extends all the way up to the Arctic Ocean further north where there are islands which are ice bound all year round. The vibrant cities of Canada reflect its French and British colonial heritage and are home to some of the best educational institutions in the world such as Mcgill Universtity located in Montreal.
