Touring The Heartland Of Australia
Published by jacko77 on Sat Jul 26th, 2008
If you are ever planning on taking an extended break in Australia, you might want to consider taking a trip on The Ghan. The train will take you through the heartland of Australia, starting in Adelaide onto Alice Springs and finish up in Darwin.
In total it will take around 48 hours to get to Darwin, so there is plenty of time to take in the real australia, but the scenery on the way is amazing, you will have a good chance of spotting a red roo or two, sheep farms, endless amounts of barren land, huge sandstones and even a few other animals, such as the bearded dragon or the desert death adder if your lucky.
